// about

Quality that ships with the code.

I'm a Sr. QA Engineer and Software Engineer in Test with 4+ years of building and maintaining test automation for fintech and iGaming platforms. I write tests in Playwright (C#/.NET and TypeScript) and Cypress, test and mock APIs with Postman, Charles Proxy and Mockoon, and automate native mobile apps with XCUITest and Espresso.

I like owning quality end to end in remote teams: test strategy, cross-platform regression and framework migrations. More and more of my work is AI-assisted QA, such as generating test suites through MCP servers, turning requirements into test plans and gating code review with AI. This is the area I want to grow in: testing AI-powered products and building AI tooling for engineering teams.

Software Engineer in Test @ Kaizen Gaming

Jan 2025 – Present · Athens, Greece (Remote)

    • Started a QA Revamp initiative to refactor and clean up the automated test suite and track its results, so the team can trust what the tests report.
    • Built web automation suites from scratch and designed mocking strategies for live-data UI (player stats, live charts), fixing recurring Playwright mocking failures. Extended coverage from backend integration through Web, Android and iOS.
    • Replaced manual translation spot-checks with an automated localization regression suite.
    • Owned weekly full regression across iOS, Android and Web for the live-streaming sportsbook product for 12+ months, and ran technical spikes that informed architecture decisions.

    Sr. QA Engineer @ Questrade

    Mar 2023 – Sep 2026 · Toronto, Canada (Remote)

    • Led QA for a full website platform migration of 500+ pages, covering functionality, accessibility, SEO, English/French parity and consent compliance. Caught 10+ production defects, including a critical privacy gap, and owned the go/no-go call for launch.
    • Led two test framework migrations: Robot Framework → Playwright, cutting regression run time by 80%+, then Playwright → Cypress to add component testing and Cypress Cloud reporting.
    • Designed the QA architecture for a new product from scratch: smoke, sanity and regression suites, automated accessibility scans, data-driven redirect tests and support for multiple environments.
    • Built AI workflows with MCP servers that generate full E2E suites in under 1 hour, plus a QA companion tool that cut test planning from 3–4 days to ~2 hours.
    • Automated 200+ functional tests and added AI-assisted code review before PRs, which reduced review back-and-forth.

    Jun 2020 – Jan 2023 · Curitiba, Brazil

    • Owned test planning and edge-case coverage for product releases to catch defects before launch.

500+ pages

Website platform migration

Questrade · fintech

context
A public website of more than 500 pages moving to a new CMS and front-end stack (Contentful + Next.js), with bilingual, accessibility and privacy requirements.
approach
Shift-left: tests ran locally during development, component tests were written alongside new components, and the Cypress E2E regression was designed with AI help, starting from the requirements.
result
10+ production defects caught before launch, including a critical issue where tracking fired before user consent. I owned QA sign-off for go-live.

−80% regression time

Two framework migrations

Questrade · fintech

context
Regression ran on Robot Framework, which was slow and hard to maintain. Later, a full site migration needed component tests written alongside new components, and much broader coverage.
approach
Robot Framework → Playwright for a modern, more reliable and maintainable suite that runs much faster. Then Playwright → Cypress: Cypress has stable component testing, while Playwright's is still experimental, and Cypress Cloud adds traceability and reporting for every run.
result
Regression run time cut by about 80% with the move to Playwright. The move to Cypress then added component tests, wider coverage for the migrated site, and clear run history and reports in Cypress Cloud.

3–4 days → ~2 h

AI-driven QA workflows

Questrade · fintech

context
Test planning took 3–4 days, and E2E suites were written entirely by hand.
approach
Connected MCP servers to the automation workflow to generate full E2E and page-level suites, built a QA companion tool that turns requirements into test plans, and added AI-assisted code review before PRs.
result
Full suites generated in under 1 hour, test planning down to ~2 hours, and less review churn.

Web · iOS · Android

Sportsbook & live streaming

Kaizen Gaming · iGaming

context
A sports-betting platform with live data and video streaming on Web, iOS and Android, where tests depend on real-time data.
approach
Mocking strategies for live-data UI, automation suites built from scratch, automated localization checks, and an ongoing QA Revamp I started to refactor the suite and track results so failures can be trusted.
result
12+ months owning weekly full-platform regression, plus technical spikes that informed architecture decisions, including a proof of concept for a unified streaming endpoint.

How this site was built

This page is itself an example of the AI-assisted workflow I use at work. I built it in one session with Claude Code: I set direction, made the content and design calls and reviewed every change. The AI researched, implemented and tested in a real browser.

  1. 01 · audit

    Check the facts first

Compared the old site with my resume and LinkedIn. It overstated experience, missed a current employer and showed numbers I couldn't back up. New rule: every claim must trace back to the resume, and no number gets invented.

  2. 02 · plan

    Choose for the reader

Reviewed a terminal-style reference site and kept its look, but chose a normal scrolling layout over an interactive shell, because recruiters skim in under a minute. Removed unused Jekyll and CI files and added a plain static deploy.

  3. 03 · iterate

    Fix what review finds

My review drove each round: internal project jargon became plain-language results, and a mobile menu that stayed open over the content became an always-visible tab bar with 44px tap targets and a header that hides while you read.

  4. 04 · verify

    Test before shipping

Every change was checked in a real browser at phone, tablet and desktop sizes before it was committed, in small commits that can each be reviewed on their own. The checks are in the QA report.

Checks run on this site

✓ axe-core accessibility scan (WCAG 2.2 AA + best practices): 0 violations, dark and light themes

✓ Layout at 375 / 768 / 1280 px: no horizontal overflow

✓ Tap targets measured: every mobile nav tab ≥ 44px tall

✓ EN / PT-BR: every string translated, nav fits in both languages

✓ Navigation: active section correct down to the last one; header hide/show, keyboard focus and reduced motion

✓ Links and assets resolve (resume PDF, icon); no console errors

✓ Content: claims checked against the resume; scan for internal jargon
